Our Beliefs

At Keswick Sensory we provide a safe, relaxed environment for families to enjoy. We appreciate the daily challenges of caring for a child with autism, and welcome you to a day of camaraderie and adventure. There is no risk of judgment or negatively impacting another family’s experience should one of our little ones be having a hard start to the day, need time to transition, or want to take their own journey. This is a community where everyone understands and supports.

Through immersive interactions with animals and nature, Keswick Sensory creates opportunities for children to explore their interests, engage at their own pace, and discover what captures their attention. In a farm setting designed to be stress-free and welcoming of everyone’s unique needs, children are free to experience the day in the way that works best for them.

Our vision is to unlock the potential of each autistic child who joins us on the farm. We’ve incorporated a variety of sensory-oriented activities designed to nurture individual strengths, encourage curiosity, and help children discover new interests.

When a child connects with a particular activity, there are endless opportunities to build on that experience. This may include learning how to care for an animal, discovering what an animal likes to eat, navigating obstacles safely, exploring nature, or simply becoming more comfortable trying something new.

We believe these immersive experiences can carry into everyday life—whether that means being more gentle with pets at home, wanting to take hikes and explore more of Charlottesville, becoming more comfortable interacting with neighbors, or easing the transition to school.

This is Keswick Sensory: a place to unlock potential and simply be yourself. We are excited for the opportunity to make a difference for families with autistic children.
